If there is one thing that is not lacking in Forspoken, it is cutscenes.
It seems like the first three-five hours of the game are littered with different cinematic scenes and events that you have to watch to get an understanding of what’s happening in the world and the story. While this is perfectly fine from a story point of view, some players might not want to see certain cutscenes if they’re simply traversing the world or making their way about the city of Cipal.
Luckily, there’s a simple and easy way to skip cutscenes in Forspoken. While we don’t recommend this during any crucial story cutscenes, players can skip as many as they want if they’re purely looking to get right to the gameplay in the world of Athia. Below, you can see exactly what you need to do to skip a cutscene in developer Square Enix’s newest open world RPG.
Skip cutscenes in Forspoken
In Forspoken, you’ll know you’re in a cutscene in you can’t control your character and have no way of moving the camera around. Sometimes, there are big cinematic cutscenes and other times there are scenes that simply look like regular gameplay. Both are skippable, and here’s how to do it:
- Once you’re in a cutscene, press the button to get to the menu where you can view the settings, quit the game, etc. (Esc on keyboard, Options on controller)
- Look for the option that says “Skip”
- Press Skip and then confirm that you want to skip the current cutscene
- You’ll then skip over any dialogue and get right back into the gameplay
And it’s that simple. If you find that you can’t skip something, it might be intended by the developers. However, most of the time, you should be able to skip most scenes you want.
