The Necromancer class in Diablo 4 is built around the undead minions that you can raise to do your bidding in battle. As such, any skill or piece of gear that can boost the overall power of your minions will be hugely beneficial to any Necromancer build. For this reason, many Necromancers have been after the Ring of Mendeln in Diablo 4.
The Ring of Mendeln is a unique ring that is specific to Necromancers. It comes with six core affixes and a Legendary Aspect. The core affixes are extra cold and shadow resistance, better lucky hit chance, added minion health, and extra Thorns. The Aspect equipped on the ring has the following effect: “While you have 7 or more Minions you gain: Lucky Hit: Up to a 10% chance to empower all of your Minions, causing the next attack from each to explode for [X] Physical damage.”
If you have been after the Ring of Mendeln in Diablo 4, you can read the guide below to see exactly how to acquire it.
Getting the Ring of Mendeln in Diablo 4
For those that have been hunting unique items prior to this, you know where this is headed. The Ring of Mendeln, like all other uniques, is only acquired via a random drop from killing an enemy or opening a chest. There is no surefire way to ensure you receive it as a drop, meaning it will come down to RNG.

To boost your odds of receiving a unique drop, you can complete Nightmare Dungeons, Helltide events, and Tree of Whisper quests. For the Tree of Whisper specifically, you will need to exchange 10 Grim Favors at the tree and then select the cache that specializes in rings/jewelry. This will give you a guaranteed chance of getting at least one ring, and it could be the Ring of Mendeln.
