How to get the Jellyfish Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring

One of the best early-game summons
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

One of the main goals for players in the early going of Elden Ring is to acquire the ability to call in Spirit Ash summons. This ability is granted by Ranni the Witch if you visit Kale the Merchant’s shop after discovering the Site of Grace at the Church of Elleh. Once you have access to Spirit Ashes, the world begins to get a little easier. This is made possible by acquiring Spirit Ash summons, such as the Jellyfish Ashes.

The Jellyfish Ashes might not look like much in Elden Ring but it can actually be quite useful. Even in its base form, the Jellyfish summons has a ton of HP and can act as a tank to distract enemies while you deal damage to them. When fully upgraded, the Jellyfish Ashes can last an entire boss fight without being taken down due to its high HP stat.

To find out how to acquire this great early-game summons, keep reading below.

The Jellyfish Spirit Ashes’ location in Elden Ring

You will need to head into Stormhill, which is the northern part of Limgrave, to find the Jellyfish Ashes. In Stormhill, right before Stormveil Castle, you will find a small wooden shack with a Site of Grace. This shack is called “Stormhill Shack” and holds a neat secret inside.

If you haven’t progressed Elden Ring too much, you will see a girl in a red robe sitting down in the shack. This is Roderika, and she becomes an important piece of the story later on. For now, though, you can keep talking to her until she gives you the Jellyfish Ashes. Even if the dialogue ends, just hit the “Talk” button again and she will continue speaking. Do this until she asks you to hold onto her Spirit Ashes for her.

After doing this and making your way through Stormveil Castle, Roderika will eventually end up at the Roundtable Hold. If you talk to her, then Master Hewg, then her, then Hewg again, Roderika will eventually become the Spirit Tuner. This is how you can upgrade your Spirit Ashes throughout the rest of Elden Ring. Just make sure you have enough Grave and Ghost Gloveworts.
