How to get the Ancestral Charge Aspect for Barbarian in Diablo 4 Season 1

A new Barbarian Aspect

Barbarian was one of the classes hit hardest by the nerfs in the Season 1 update of Diablo 4. As such, players who choose to brave the Seasonal Realm with a Barbarian will need all the help they can get. One of the easiest forms of help is through equipping legendary Aspects, which can completely transform a build. Luckily, Season 1 introduced a set of new Aspects for the Barbarian in Diablo 4, with one of them being the Ancestral Charge Aspect.

Ancestral Charge can be equipped on 1H weapons, 2H weapons (100% increased power), Gloves, Rings, and Amulets (50% increased power). The effect on the Aspect is as follows: “Charge calls forth 4 Ancients who also Charge, dealing 50-100% of normal damage.” The Charge skill might not have been a part of your original build plans, but this Aspect can change that on a dime. I know it completely changed how I’m currently playing my Barbarian in Season 1.

Unfortunately for all Barbarians out there, you cannot find this Aspect through any guaranteed method. Instead, the only way to acquire it is via extracting it from a piece of legendary gear. This gear must drop to you randomly after killing a monster or opening a chest.

If you get lucky and find a gear piece with the Ancestral Charge Aspect already equipped, then you have two options. The first is to simply equip the gear with the Aspect on it, thus allowing you to use its effects. The second option is to bring the gear to The Occultist, extract the Aspect from it, and then imprint the Aspect onto a new piece of gear. This process destroys the original gear and once you use the Aspect once, it cannot be used again.
