Two new Pokémon featured in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask DLC are Poltchageist and Sinistcha. What may seem like regional forms of the existing Pokémon, Sinistea and Polteageist, are actually different Pokémon entirely.

These two new tea-inspired Pokémon share the rarely-found Grass/Ghost typing, and you can find them in the land of Kitakami featured in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask DLC. Where to find Poltchageist in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask

Poltchageist can only be found in Kitakami, so you’ll need to own the The Teal Mask DLC in order to find and capture it. Poltchageist can be found in the southeastern section of Kitakami in the sections marked below:

Poltchageist’s different forms explained

Much like its Galarian counterpart, Poltchageist also has two forms. These are the more common “Counterfeit Form” and the rarer “Artisan Form”. As far as stats go, they’re functionally the same. The main difference is the tiny seal on the bottom of Artisan Form Poltchageists that can be tough to spot. Poltchageist requires different items to evolve each form, so knowing which one you have is important.

How to evolve Poltchageist into Sinistcha

Depending on the type of Poltchageist captured, you need use an item to evolve Poltchageist into Sinistcha.

To evolve Counterfeit Form Poltchageist, you’ll need the Unremarkable Teacup, which you find in a cave in the northwest part of Kitakami, close to the third sign visited in the Teal Mask’s story.

To evolve Artisan Form Poltchageist, you’ll need the Masterpiece Teacup, which you can find in the northeast part of Kitakami in a cave behind a sleeping Snorlax.

Once you’ve obtained the corresponding item, you can evolve Poltchageist by using the item from your inventory on it.
