In keeping with its archaic theme, Pokémon Legends: Arceus has introduced a new way to change the player’s party members. But, even without Bill’s PC, switching out different Pokémon is a fairly simple task in the Hisui region.
Here’s how a player can change which Pokémon are actively on their team in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
How to change Pokémon in Legends: Arceus
There are two methods for switching out which Pokémon are in the trainer’s party. The method the player uses will depend on whether they are in Jubilife Village or out in the field. However, both options provide trainers with similar access to the Pokémon they have caught.
If the player is in Jubilife Village, they can view all of their Pokémon in the Pastures area. The Pastures are located on the eastern side of the village. A woman named Marie stands in front of the gate that leads to an open space where the trainers “boxed” Pokémon can reside.
By talking to Marie, the player can access a menu that shows their six active party members, along with all of the Pokémon they have caught but are not actively using. On this screen, the players can grab Pokémon they want to add to their party in order to change around their current line-up in Legends: Arceus.
Changing Pokémon in the field
Outside of Jubilife Village, players can access a similar menu by talking to a Galaxy Member at each of the base camps. Along with selling items to the player, this NPC can show the player every Pokémon they have caught. From this menu, players can add new Pokémon to their party or release Pokémon that are taking up space in their Pastures.
Once the player leaves the base camp, they lose direct access to their Pastures. Of course, the ability to fast travel to camps means that the player is never far removed from this game’s equivalent to a PC. As a result, trainers should be able to change their party Pokémon whenever they see fit in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
