Vodafone Giants announced it has acquired the Rainbow Six Pro League Asia Pacific Championship roster, most recently known under the name of Aerowolf. As the parent company of Giants Gaming, this news comes just a few days after the organization revealed its previous Rainbow Six: Siege team had been purchased by Rogue Esports.
We told you we'd be back soon.
Give a warm welcome to our new R6S roster that will compete in the SEA Pro League.
We're extremely excited to continue our journey with these guys 🙌@lunarmetal@speakeasyr6@ysaera@r6jrdn@hysterixr6

Acquisition of Aerowolf roster
“The incorporation of these five players responds to our goal of continuing to be part of the international Rainbow Six: Siege community,” said David “Lozark” Alonso, sports director of the Giants, in a release. “The skills and dedication of the group are impressive. Thanks to the fact that they are joining Vodafone Giants, the team can now aspire to achieve even more ambitious goals.”
The new roster consists of in-game captain Glen “Lunarmetal” Suryasaputra, along with players Adrian “Ysaera” Wui, Jordan “Jrdn” Cheng, Mohamed Matin “SpeakEasy” Mohamed Yunos, and Jose “Histoire” Iman. The Singapore roster previously competed for Indonesian esports organization Aerowolf. It was considered the best team in Southeast Asia and finished in the Semifinals of the Rainbow Six Pro League World Finals.
New Giants Gaming in 2020
“Joining the Giants is a great milestone for us – that such a team has noticed us makes us proud. So I would like to thank David and his team for believing in us,” said Lunarmetal. “We want this to be a good and lasting relationship and we promise that we will give a great show for our fans – those who were already here and the new ones as well.”
Giants Gaming has not revealed the coaching staff members after the recent acquisition, as previous coach Laurent “Crapelle” Patriarche and manager Robin “Robz” Planus left for Rogue.
Giants Gaming achieved a 1st place finish at the 2019 Rainbow Six French League Finals. However, the same team fell short at the Pro League Finals, after a defeat by newly acquired roster Aerowolf in a 1 – 2 match up.
