This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Fortnite Champion Series Week 4 went as expected. The most consistent team in the European region finished at the top of the leaderboards once again. This week, Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson, Dmitri “Mitr0” Van de Vrie, and Benjy “Benjyfishy” David Fish dominated each round of the FNCS. The top trio in EU now placed first overall two out of four weeks. The other two weeks, they finished in second place. Now, their spectacular play is the norm. At this time, this team is by far the favorite to win the region once the season finals begin.

Just another week for MMB in Fortnite Champion Series

The trio of Mongraal, Mitr0, and Benjyfishy, also known as MMB, took first place in Week 4 of the FNCS. Amazingly, the trio ended with a 45-point spread between them and the second place team. Additionally, the top trio finished with three wins, the most in the region. This may sound like a repeat of last week, but MMB are just that good.

Mongraal, Mitr0, and Benjyfishy won three out of nine games to total 147 points in the final round of Week 4. Overall, the team racked up 87 eliminations. They had five games with double-digit eliminations. Three of those games include victory royales. MMB achieved two 17-elimination wins and a 10-elimination win. Their consistent play is unbelievable.

Much of the success of the top trio comes from their aggressive play. MMB lands at Retail Row, a highly contested point of interest. Retail includes the most loot of any point of interest due to the zombie and crystal spawns. Once MMB defeats everyone in Retail Row, they rotate towards zone while engaging almost every team in their path. Next, the trio takes high ground and punishes everyone in their path. Finally, they rotate as zones move and maintain the high ground. Their play is clinical and commanding.

Top 8 teams move on

The format of the Fortnite Championship Series provides teams five weeks to earn a spot in the season finals. Each week, the top eight teams earn the opportunity to play in the finals. Each region runs separately. These teams qualified in Week 4 from the European region:

  1. NRG Benjyfishy, FaZe Mongraal, Mitr0
  2. MSF Osmo, MSF Kylix, MSF Ares
  3. elokratz, E11 Klusia, Th0masHD
  4. IDrop1x, BL Flikk, MRG Troqz
  5. G2 Tohaj, hREDS BELAEU, Kaxie
  6. Atlantis DEVIL7, LZR Wolfies, Atlantis Letshe
  7. Gambit.fwexY, Gambit.letw1k3, Secret_Domentos
  8. nikkeva, zemee, Jjesse

Only one week stands in the way of trios and the season finals. The season finals involve multiple heats followed by a final round of play. At this time, it is hard to imagine another team unseating MMB. Although, the games still need to be played. Besides the top 8 teams each week, the season finals include a large number of teams based on their consistency throughout the five weeks of open play. Soon, they will all collide to determine the best of the region!
