Most significantly, TRETA 2022 will be a gold stop for the 2022 Smash World Tour. With plenty of circuit points on the line, here’s everything that Super Smash Bros. fans should keep in mind about TRETA 2022 heading into this weekend.

Smash players to watch

Ultimate Kazuya main Felipe “Ferps” Moura finished in third-place at Brazilian platinum stop Ultra Hard earlier this year. In addition, he has beaten players like Jon “Suarez” Suarez, Benjamin “loaf” Rust and Trevor “Atomsk” Hirschen at American tournaments like The Gimvitational and Super Smash Con 2022. As a result, a strong showing at this event could help Ferps rack up enough points to return to the United States for the Smash World Tour Championships later this year.

At No. 7 on the South American power rankings, Dr. Mario main caioicy is the frontrunner to win the 11-player Melee Singles bracket at TRETA 2022. However, another potential contender to come out on top is Peach main Lucas “Aleixo” Aleixo. Aleixo placed fourth at Ultra Hard earlier this year, outplacing caioicy and defeating Luis “Aisengobay” Bonazzio in the process.
