Endless waves and brutal bosses: Halo Infinite rolls out Gauntlet

Halo Studios just dropped Gauntlet, a punishing new PvE mode for Halo Infinite. Players need to survive five rounds of endless enemies by taking down arena bosses to stop the swarm.

Four years after a rocky launch, Halo Infinite is still kicking. Halo Studios has now expanded the game’s multiplayer with Gauntlet, a fresh addition to the Firefight playlist.

The concept is brutal and the difficulty is cranked to the max. To survive five rounds of relentless enemy waves, your squad has to eliminate the bosses spawning in each arena. The official Halo account warned that the mode is guaranteed to put even the strongest Fireteams to the test.

To stand a chance against the horde, players get access to upgradable attributes and various elimination objectives. The maps are linked by resupply zones where you can stock up on essential ammo and equipment. These brief safe areas are also where you upgrade your personal bonuses, giving you the chance to boost speed, resistance, regeneration, and damage before the next wave hits.
