The Australian and New Zealand region has their first Overwatch player for season 2! Colourhex has been signed for OWL season 2. The flex DPS player from New Zealand has experienced a fantastic tournament run in recent years. He started his Overwatch career in 2017 with the CyberGamer Weekly tournaments. Colourhex and his team placed second in their first tournament. These are smaller community-based competitions. Colourhex then went on to compete in the Oceanic Summer Series and ESL ANZ tournaments. It was in season 1 that he and his team 4Legs won the Minor. It was all up from there.

WillWeed and Masterminds are two teams Colourhex previously played for. He eventually found himself in the Sydney Drop Bears. The Drop Bears are a team that consists of players from Australia and New Zealand. They recently won the Overwatch Contenders Australia Season at Melbourne Esports Open. Colourhex was also signed on with the Canadian Overwatch team, Toronto Esports. He joined the team for just under two months before signing on with Boston Uprising.

Boston Uprising

Colourhex was picked up by Boston Uprising along with Min-seob “Axxiom” Park from South Korea. Both players previously played for Toronto Esports. There’s a strong relationship between Boston Uprising and Toronto Esports. Uprising had a good look at both players before they were picked for the roster. The President of Gaming for the Kraft Group, Chris “HuK” Loranger, is excited about both players:

We had the chance to get a close look at ‘Colourhex’ and ‘Axxiom’ and feel both players will bring a high level of skill to our team and make a positive impact both in and out of the game.

Similar to Colourhex, Axxiom also competed in the Overwatch Contenders. He was in the North American region however. He has experienced a similar playing career, starting in the Overwatch APEX qualifiers. Axxiom worked his way through to minors and majors. Axxiom and his team Toronto Esports placed second at the NA Contenders in season 1. We’re sure both Colourhex and Axxiom are excited about joining the big leagues.

Overwatch League season 2

As was announced earlier this year, more teams have signed up to OWL season 2. All teams in the Overwatch League must have the full eight players on their roster by Dec 1. Season 2 begins in February next year in Los Angeles. New York Excelsior, Atlanta Reign, Toronto Defiant, and Shanghai Dragons have released some of their team lineups.
