Following a recent leak that found skins and other Batman-themed items in the game, Batman has now officially come to Fortnite. The new, limited-time event runs from now until Oct 6. It seems the leaks were pretty spot on, but even so, there was still one nice surprise: Catwoman. You can earn the special Catwoman-themed reward for free, while there are also new weapons, a glider, and a new pack available for purchase.
As well, Tilted Town has been transformed into a replica of Gotham City itself. All of this has been done in honor of the Dark Knight’s 80th anniversary.
A Rift Zone has brought Gotham City to Fortnite. Of course, it wouldn’t be Gotham City if villainy didn’t come along with it. This POI lets you be the hero the citizens of Gotham City need by giving you your own Batman cape and the power of Glider Redeploy!
Skins and more
The Batman event provides us with not one, but two sweet skins for players to don in battle. With the Batman Caped Crusader Pack, you will get the Batman Comic Book outfit as well as the Dark Knight Movie skin. The Dark Knight skin looks like it came straight out of Rocksteady’s highly successful Batman video games. Catwoman herself is also available as her own skin. Sadly, there’s no Batgirl or Harley Quinn yet.
New weapons include the previously released images for the Batman Grapnel Gun and Explosive Batarang. Every player will also automatically be equipped with the Batman Cape Glider. It can be utilized an unlimited number of times, but only in Gotham City.
By completing the event’s challenges, players will earn rewards straight from the Welcome to Gothan City Challenge Bundle. This includes the Catwing Glider. These challenges will last until Oct 1.
