If you’re a fan of the Harry Potter series, then you likely know what Floo Powder is. This magical dust is essentially a way for witches and wizards to get from one to the other in a matter of seconds. It made its first appearance in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, where Harry used it incorrectly to get from the Weasley’s house to Diagon Alley.
In Hogwarts Legacy, Floo Powder has been altered into Floo Flame but it essentially serves the same purpose. Players can use it to fast travel all over the map, which is great news given how large the Hogwarts Legacy map is. Here’s how to use the Floo Flame fast travel system and all of its locations in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to fast travel in Hogwarts Legacy
If you want to fast travel in Hogwarts Legacy, all you need to do is find a Floo Flame somewhere on the map. You’re given the location of a couple of them right at the start of the game, after the Sorting Ceremony. Professor Weasley will guide you to a couple of them and explain how the system works. All you need to know is that you can fast travel to any Floo Flame you’ve previously discovered.
You’ll know when you’ve discovered one when you see a green flame icon on your map. If you see a gray flame icon, that means there’s a Floo Flame there, but you haven’t discovered it yet. Floo Flames are identifiable in-game by a green flame and an icon above them. To use one, just walk up to it, interact with it, and choose where you want to fast travel to.
You will then fast travel to the exact spot on the map where that particular Floo Flame is. As previously mentioned, you can only fast travel to Floo Flames you’ve discovered, so only locations with the green flame icon.
