007 First Light Goes Gold – IO Interactive’s Bond Origin Story is Locked for May

The wait is officially over for IO Interactive's take on James Bond. 007 First Light has gone gold, locking in its May 27 launch with no further delays in sight.

IO Interactive has confirmed that development on 007 First Light is officially complete. Barring any major last-minute issues, the re-imagined origin story will drop on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on schedule this May 27. If you’re looking to jump in a day ahead of the crowd, early access unlocks on May 26.

IO is also tossing a perk to early buyers: pre-ordering the game nets you a free upgrade to the deluxe edition. On the hardware front, the studio confirmed that a Switch 2 version is already in the pipeline and is expected to arrive sometime this summer.
