After a stable season with no new content added to the game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Season 3 is here for ranked ladder play. Although no new cards were added over the course of the month-long season, the tier list has changed thanks to meta developments and the player base figuring out counter-play between strategies. Here is a look at the top 10 decks for Season 3, as well as a couple of decks worth an honorable mention.

S-Tier: Tri-Brigade, Drytron, Eldlich, Virtual World, Adamancipator

The only change from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Season 3 ranked ladder tier list, in terms of S-Tier decks, is the arrival of Adamancipator. As discussed in last month’s list, Adamancipator is at full power in Master Duel. It is one of the best decks in the history of the game that never got a chance to shine in the physical game. But, it sure is in the spotlight now. This deck is a very potent combo deck that has access to one of the best extender cards ever printed, Block Dragon. The deck has joined the elite combo decks of the format and is safely a top-five deck in the game.

The other usual suspects are here. The Zoodiac version of Tri-Brigade continues to be the best deck in the game, with Drytron and Virtual World proving to be other top-tier combo decks. Eldlich is the format’s only true S-Tier control deck but it plays like a stun deck.

A-Tier: Phantom Knights, Prank-Kids, Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll

In A-tier, there are two changes from last month’s list. Phantom Knights, which is also known as Rhongo Bongo, is still just Number 86: Heroic Champion – Rhongomyniad turbo but that is potent enough to land in the upper echelon of Master Duel decks. Joining PK in A-Tier this month are Prank-Kids and Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll. Prank-Kids finds itself moving up a tier, due to being a cheap and good combo deck that is surprisingly difficult to deal with. Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll has emerged as the format’s second-best control-based strategy that aims to control the game through Invoked Mechaba and El Shaddoll Winda.

B-Tier: Sky Striker and Dinos

Speaking of control decks, the third-best control deck option sits in B-Tier for the second straight month. It’s a great strategy but lacks the ceiling needed to compete with the other strategies above them. This is due to some key cards in the strategy being on the limited and forbidden list. The only other deck in B-tier this month is Dinos. This deck is extremely consistent and summoning its boss monster, Ultimate Conductor Tyranno, is a fantastic second deck that can one-turn kill even the most potent combo decks. This deck is also good at going first, thanks to Ultimate Conductor Tyranno’s disruption ability being a quick effect.

Honorable mention: Cyber Dragon and Madolche

Finally, there are two decks in the honorable mentions that just missed out on the top 10. First is Cyber Dragon, which finds itself on the list through sheer popularity. As one of the most supported and iconic archetypes in the game’s history, Cyber Dragon is a potent deck that can one-turn kill against many of the top decks.

Speaking of OTK’s, Madolche finds itself in the honorable mention tier this month, which is a tier below its previous ranking. This is because the player base is having a hard time deciding if it’s better to go first or second in a best-of-one format. Other than that, the deck is still fragile but, when it goes off, it’s unstoppable.
