“Partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters is such an exciting milestone for us,” said Marco Mereu, COO and co-founder of XSET. “XSET’s mission of diversity and inclusion aligns perfectly with their work.”

“We’re excited to announce our partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America to bring the passion of gaming to a whole new generation! $5 from every purchase of co-branded merchandise with go to @BBBSA,” XSET tweeted.

What is BBBSA and how will XSET utilize their partnership

BBBSA is a non-profit organization with a mission to create and support mentoring relationships. BBBSA matches adult volunteers, Big Brothers or Sisters, with children and teens, Little Brothers or Sisters, to create and develop positive relationships. In conjunction with BBBSA, XSET use Raidel “Joke” Brito, the organization’s Madden professional, and Call of Duty veteran Jordan “ProoFy” Cannon as brand ambassadors in Detroit, MI and New York City respectively. The two esports professionals will meet with Bigs and Littles in their community regularly.

The organizations are also joining together in a recruitment campaign for more mentor and mentee volunteers. They will also launch a fundraiser together to support mentors work in Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.

“Mentoring opens doors of possibilities for young people, and by connecting with partners like XSET, it allows our Littles to learn first-hand about this growing industry,” said Adam Vasallo, Chief Marketing Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. “We also appreciate the financial support, which will allow our agencies across the country the opportunity to reach more Littles who are waiting to be matched with a Big.”

XSET will also contribute $5 from every purchase of a BBBSA branded apparel and merchandise to the non-profit. This is another of many brand partnerships XSET has bartered in the past year.
