The Fortnite v12.40 update arrived early this morning, and dataminers immediately went to work in the game files. This happens every week with the new Season 2 updates, but the information miners find is always different. In regards to v12.40, the leakers were able to find quite a substantial amount of future content coming to Fortnite. Though, perhaps the biggest leak concerns the superhero team from the Marvel universe known as X-Force. Miners were able to find a bundle involving some of the characters along with a new style for Deadpool.
A look at the leaked X-Force bundle in Fortnite
X-Force is a fictional team of superheroes imagined by artist Rob Liefeld at Marvel Comics. The squad is more known for its affiliation with the X-Men rather than the Marvel characters we’ve seen lately like Iron Man and Captain America.
Of course, we’ve also seen those Marvel characters in Fortnite with the Avengers: Endgame event that occurred last year. Fast-forward to now though, and it appears Epic Games is opening Fortnite up to the other side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanks to Fortnite leaker @HYPEX, we have our first look at the X-Force bundle that contains three different skins.

Those who are familiar with comics know who these characters are. However, if you don’t follow the comics, the blue woman is Domino, the muscular man is Cable, and the purple woman is Psylocke. Cable and Domino might be better known after appearing in Deadpool 2, but Psylocke was featured in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Speaking of Deadpool, the anti-hero also received an X-Force makeover with the v12.40 update. HYPEX has us covered with an in-game look at the leaked skin.
