Riot Games has announced that Lil Nas X will be performing “STAR WALKIN'” at Worlds 2022, which begins Sept. 29 and runs through Nov. 5. In addition, Lil Nas X will also be collaborating on a prestige skin for the as-of-yet unreleased champion K’Sante, the Pride of Nazumah, who was announced last month.

Lil Nas X is a hip hop artist turned fashion and LGBTQ icon. He rose to popularity in 2019 and has since continued to produce hit songs like “INDUSTRY BABY” and “MONTERO.”

“STAR WALKIN'” was announced via a satirical parody short in which Lil Nas X becomes the “President of League of Legends.” As president, Lil Nas X promptly enacts some changes, like ensuring that “STAR WALKIN'” plays in the office whenever possible.

“If you can get tired of this song, you will get tired of this song,” Lil Nas X said in the video short.

In keeping with Lil Nas X’s style and previous World Anthems, the song has a pop-rock flavor, at least from the sound of what is likely the song’s chorus. The new song is still a bit of a mystery, however, so fans will have to wait to hear the full track.
