Shaymin is one of the popular mythical Pokémon that a player can capture in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. As one of the mythical Pokémon revealed in Generation 4, it is no surprise that it ended up in the game. Here is how players can capture the elusive Gratitude Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
How to complete the ‘A Token of Gratitude’ request and find Shaymin
The Token of Gratitude request can only be activated once the player has completed the main story of Pokémon Legends: Arceus and the credits roll for the game. Players will also need a save of either Pokémon Sword or Shield in order to get the request in Arceus.
In order to begin the quest, players must head over to professor Laventon’s office on the first floor of the Galaxy team building. Interact with the blackboard in his office, turn to the last page and find the A Token of Gratitude quest. Accept the request to begin looking for the Mythical Pokémon of the skies.
The player will meet Medi in order to begin the first part of the quest and receive the Gracidea Flower. The player must then traverse through the Obsidian Fieldlands in order to find the field of Gracidea Flowers. The field can be found by going from the closest base camp to Jubilife Village, near Aspiration Hill. Simply move to the northwest location on the map known as the Floaro Gardens. Players can see a dead path of flowers in the middle of the area, and walking into it will trigger a cutscene that allows the player to encounter Shaymin.
The Shaymin encounter will be at level 70 and has Energy Ball, Earth Power, Air Slash and Seed Flare. Shaymin will appear in its Land Forme when the player first catches it but can turn into its Grass-Flying type Sky Forme by using the Gracidea Flower from the player’s Key Items section on Shaymin. Players can always freely change between both Formes as they please.
