Where to find Fireflies in Weeping Woods for Fortnite Week 10 challenge

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Earlier today, the Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 3 Week 10 challenges went live. This is the last batch of tasks for this season, as Season 4 of the battle royale launches on August 27. Completing this week’s—and other weeks’—challenges are a fantastic way to earn any additional XP for your Battle Pass. If you don’t reach tier 100, for example, then you won’t have the chance to unlock that reward. The Week 10 challenges aren’t too difficult though, so you should be able to earn that extra XP. However, one task, catching Fireflies in Weeping Woods, can be a bit confusing if you don’t know where to look.

Fireflies in the Weeping Woods of Fortnite

In order to complete this challenge, you’ll need to accomplish the following:

Collect 5 Fireflies from Weeping Woods

While that may sound easy enough, Weeping Woods is fairly big, so you could be searching for a long time if you don’t where to look. Luckily, we happen to know of several areas where you can find some Fireflies ripe for the taking.

First, you’ll likely want to head into a Team Rumble match in Fortnite. This way, if you get eliminated, you can still respawn and continue the hunt for Fireflies. Next, drop in the far northeastern corner of Weeping Woods. This should be directly adjacent to the river and southwest of The Authority.

After that, you’ll want to find a tree and walk up to it. Around the tree, you should immediately see Fireflies that are lighting up in an orange color. Simply go near them, hold the interact button when you’re prompted, and repeat this process five times. That’s all there is to it! You’ve now successfully completed the Fortnite Fireflies from Weeping Woods Week 10 challenge.
