VALORANT Episode 4 Act 1 officially began on Jan. 11 2022 and saw the introduction of Neon, the game’s newest speedster Agent. Following Neon’s addition, VALORANT developers announced that Act 2 would not have a new Agent or map. Instead, the organization is focusing on game balance and improving player experience.
“Our goal this year is to keep our amazing player community engaged with content, new features and continued support,” VALORANT Executive Producer Anna “SuperCakes” Donlon said in the update video.
The biggest change that has already been announced is a long-awaited Yoru rework, which will change his Fakeout, Gatecrash and Dimensional Drift abilities substantially. This rework will be released with Act 2.
Episode 4 Act 2 release date
VALORANT Episode 4 Act 2 will release on March 1. The Act 1 Battle Pass will conclude a day earlier, on Feb. 28.
Along with the Yoru rework, the Act 2 patch will bring many new in-game items, both as part of the Battle Pass and in the store. The Battle Pass will include sprays, gun buddies, player cards and three weapon skin lines: Divine Swine, Lycan’s Bane and Striker. Act 2 will also see the Gaia’s Vengeance skin line added to the game and made available to purchase in the store.
“When we started working on this pass, we wanted to create items that players around the world wanted to use to express themselves,” VALORANT Associate Producer Laura Baltzer said of the Act 2 Battle Pass. “We collaborated with our regional teams to come up with items that felt relevant to their players. We had a lot of fun discovering the different memes, callouts, traditions and metas players are using that we otherwise might not have known about.”
