When can you preload and play Pikmin 4?

Nintendo fans have been impatiently awaiting the next Pikmin game and Pikmin 4 is just around the corner. If you still can’t wait, you may be wondering when you can preload Pikmin 4 on the Nintendo Switch.

When is Pikmin 4 coming to Nintendo Switch?

After over a decade of waiting, Pikmin 4 is coming out on July 21, 2023. 

Pikmin 4 is looking to bring a lot of new aspects to the already unique strategy game. This time around, you will create your own protagonist instead of playing as Olimar. You will also have different Pikmin with new abilities, like freezing water, as well as a dog-like companion that you can ride around the environment.

Pikmin will also have co-op opportunities, including split-screen capabilities. This makes Pikmin 4 the perfect game for families and friends.

When can you preload Pikmin 4?

Can’t wait a few more weeks for Pikmin 4? Fear not, you can preload  the game so you can download and install it right when it drops.

If you want to play the game the second it drops, you’ll need to preload it. You can start preloading the game on July 14, 2023. This is a week before the game comes out.

After that, you’ll need to do a small update leading up to the game’s official release.
