What are the meta loadouts in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5?

Two guns are setting the standard

With Season 5 a week old at this point, Call of Duty: Warzone fans are beginning to figure out what the meta is; based on Season 5’s weapon balancing update — as well as some weapons’ prowess from last season — two guns have emerged to lay claim over the Season 5 meta. One of the weapons has been called the best in Warzone by various content creators, while the other is arguably the strongest secondary weapon players can use. Together, these guns form the best loadout available in Warzone Season 5.

The two weapons in question are the UGM-8 light machine gun and the Vanguard PPSh-41. As of right now, it doesn’t appear as though any other gun can match the UGM-8’s overall viability. Despite being nerfed in the Season 5 update, the UGM-8 stands above any other long-range option. The LMG has an incredible damage range, accuracy, and fire rate, all while being fairly mobile for a weapon of its size. Of course, if players want to take gunfights at close range, they can swap to their secondary, which, in this case is the PPSh-41.

The PPSh-41 had a few of its attachments buffed in Season 5, which paved the way for it to replace the Armaguerra 43 as Warzone’s top SMG. The Armaguerra 43 receiving a hefty nerf also helped the PPSh-41; content creators such as Complexity’s Repullze have pegged it and the UGM-8 as the strongest in their respective classes. As such, they form the best possible overall loadout for players to run in Season 5 of Warzone.

Below, fans can see the individual loadouts for both the UGM-8 and PPSh-41.

It’s entirely possible — and even likely — that the best overall loadout changes sometime soon in Warzone Season 5; Raven Software has a proclivity to release a new weapon balancing update after the seasonal update releases, so fans shouldn’t get too comfortable with these weapons just yet.
