It may be 2024, but that doesn’t mean Activision is going to let Warzone die any time soon. The popular battle royale is gearing up for Season 2, which includes the return of popular map Fortune’s Keep, and a crossover with The Walking Dead.
As always, a new seasonal update for MW3 means Warzone will be getting some love too. We haven’t gotten too much information on what to expect yet, but we already know when we can get our hands on it, and a couple of confirmed additions to the game.
Warzone Season 2 release date
Warzone Season 2 will launch on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. This is the same date as MW3 Season 2, as confirmed by the official Call of Duty account on X.
Fortune’s Keep returns
The headline addition in Warzone Season 2 is the return of Fortune’s Keep. The popular Resurgence map has received an update though, with “refreshed POIs” and “a few surprises” from the devs now that it’s back in rotation.
On top of that, the Season 2 trailer also shows Zombies, a Mimic, and players firing a Raygun, so it could be mayhem when it launches.
Warzone Ranked: Resurgence
Do you want to test your abilities against opponents, but regular battle royale just doesn’t cut it? Then say hello to Warzone Ranked: Resurgence.
Taking place across small maps, Ranked Resurgence will let players earn points and rank up to prove they are the best in the world.
The Walking Dead Operators arrive in Warzone
With the spin-off series The Ones Who Live premiering on February 25, Call of Duty players will be able to run around and fight as Rick Grimes and Michonne from The Walking Dead.
It’s not clear yet if there will be more Walking Dead crossovers in Warzone, but we’ll be sure to update this article as we learn more in the run-up to release day.
