Our rating scale

From one (lowest) to five (highest) stars, here’s what each star rating means in layman’s terms:

* Boring. Utterly skippable and something no one will remember by tomorrow

** Watchable. Possibly recommended based on your rooting interests

*** Good. Something I’d recommend checking out, even if you’re not a fan of either team

**** Must-watch. A game or series that you need to watch if you have any interest in VALORANT

***** An all-time classic. This perfect rating is only achievable if a game or match is at the highest level of entertainment, gameplay and will go down in the lexicon as a moment no VALORANT fan will ever forget

Let’s get started

For Acend, this is their time to show they have earned their spot. After not making any waves in an international LAN event, this would be their first major title win since Europe Masters 1.

For Gambit, this is their game to solidify themselves as the true powerhouses of VCT 2021. Winning Berlin would just be the start, and this team seems adamant on making it clear that they are the true VALORANT Champions.

Acend vs. Gambit Esports: Breeze

** stars

The map started out as an easy Acend win, with a first half record of 9-3. But the 9-3 curse and the unstoppable force that is Gambit on defense allowed them to win back hard, taking it 13-11. At one point, they took eight rounds in a row.

Acend vs. Gambit Esports: Ascent

*** stars

Nothing is more interesting then being able to compete with the powerhouse of Gambit’s defense. Acend managed to nab seven rounds against the powerful Gambit bunkers. Once they were on defense, they secured enough rounds, winning it 13-7.

Acend vs. Gambit Esports: Fracture

** stars

While it is interesting to watch a new map, the lack of fight from Acend was not as entertaining to watch. A 13-3 kind of map is really disheartening to see. Gambit is now up 2-1.

Acend vs. Gambit Esports: Icebox

**** stars

A very close match. With it being so close to a Gambit win and both teams playing out of their mind, the match was definitely electric. Watching both teams pop off was a sight to see, and another OT got the ol’ blood pumping. The series is now tied 2-2.

Acend vs. Gambit Esports: Split

***** stars

A great way to end the VALORANT Champions Tour. After a close 7-5 half, rounds went back for forth between teams, finally landing with Acend. A really great showcase of both teams and their skills.
