TSM FTX announced the signing of an all Brazilian professional Garena Free Fire team. This move comes just two months after entering the Free Fire esports scene with its acquisition of India’s Sixth Sense roster. The Brazilian Free Fire team — consisting of Murilo “RUSH” Pacheco, Rafael “Nappon” Soares, Elias Batista, Marcelo “BOB7” Luiz, Victor “VINNIXL” Ferreira and Guilherme “BROCO” Barbosa — will compete in the Brazil’s Free Fire tournament, Liga Brasileira de Free Fire 2021.

Free Fire’s popularity continues to grow and has seen more organizations enter the space. After signing a $210 million naming deal with FTX, TSM continued to expand across different regions.

TSM’s Brazilian Free Fire roster

TSM FTX decided to follow the same route it took in India by acquiring an already made team. The players now signed on TSM were all part of the Black Dragon esports roster. Furthermore, Black Dragons had been in the Free Fire scene since 2019 but signed their former players in 2021. The team recently placed second at Stage 2 of the LBBF 2021 Series B, which earned them a spot at Series A next season.

However, on Aug. 16, the roster disbanded. TSM FTX have also acquired Black Dragon’s coach, Elias, to continue with the players. Additionally, the TSM roster will compete in the LBFF and will aim to dominate Brazil’s Free Fire scene.

With its expansion into Brazil’s Free Fire esports, TSM joins Team Liquid — who already compete in the LBFF Series A. The organization expands its presence in Brazil having already acquired a Wild Rift roster there in July.
