Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 8 is officially live for all players and has introduced a plethora of new content to the game. From Kevin the Cube returning to brand new skins including Marvel’s Carnage, players have a lot to go at. However, there are some elements from Season 7 that have carried over, including the upgrading of a single Battle Pass skin. This time around, the upgradable skin is Toona Fish, but it doesn’t require Alien Artifacts to level up.
Instead, the new version of Fishstick requires Ink Style Points, which are found through acquiring Rainbow Ink on the Fortnite Season 8 island. Of course, players need to know where these Ink Points are located in order to grab more of them.
Upgrading Toona Fish in Fortnite
The first step players need to take is actually unlocking Toona Fish on the Season 8 Battle Pass. Toona Fish is unlocked with nine Battle Stars on the first page of the Battle Pass, so players shouldn’t have a hard time unlocking it.
Once Toona Fish is unlocked, players can then begin the process of upgrading it. This is done in two ways, one by coloring the skin and the other by unlocking set styles. The first upgrade path is unlocking Color Bottles, which are found in certain locations around the Fortnite map. Players can only unlock a set number of bottles per week, though.
The next path is by finding Rainbow Ink, which grants the player Ink Style Points. These Points are only found in Cosmic Chests throughout Fortnite, which have various spawn points. Unfortunately, players won’t be able to ensure themselves Rainbow Ink just by opening a Cosmic Chest. However, if they find enough, they can start to upgrade Toona Fish with different styles. There are 25 Ink Style Points that can be found each week in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 8.
