The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor (ESO: Greymoor), the latest game expansion, will be delayed. Originally, the chapter was supposed to be released on May 18. Now, the game will launch on May 26 on PC/Mac, and console users will have to wait just a little longer, with the launch date for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 now set for June 9.
Greymoor release date delayed
Whilst Bethesda and ESO websites had a release date for May 18, nothing had been “officially” confirmed. But as of now, the official ESO Twitter account has tweeted about the release date for Greymoor. The date is accompanied by a letter from Game Director Matt Firor to the community.
We can now officially announce that Greymoor will release on May 26 for PC/Mac and June 9 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The letter outlines the reason for the delay and confirms the team is “still on track for Update 26 and the Greymoor Chapter to launch only one week late.” The team is confident it can deliver but warns something “outside of (their) control” could delay the release longer. Recently NA servers have been undergoing maintenance to get ready for the new updates as well as fix performance issues. ESO also celebrated its six-year anniversary. Due to this anniversary, along with lots of freebies and the fact most people are now stuck at home, ESO has seen “more people playing ESO right now than any other point since 2015.” The team says it will be continuing to investigate issues and enhance server performance, mainly adding more capacity to the EU server.
