If you’re looking to dive right into Ranked Play in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, then you’re going to need the proper class setups. If you haven’t been following along with the Call of Duty League this year, the Vaznev-9K is the current submachine gun of choice for all professional and competitive players. While it was nerfed in Season 2, the Vaznev-9K still has the best Ranked Play loadout among all SMGs in MW2.
New players to Ranked Play in MW2 will notice that the Vaznev-9K doesn’t have many options when it comes to attachments. Many of the best public match attachments for the gun are banned in the CDL ruleset, and as a result, you can really only equip a handful of loadout slots. My loadout is the one most used by professional players during the CDL season, so it shouldn’t steer you wrong.
To see the best Vaznev-9K loadout for the MW2 Ranked Play, check out the guide below.
Ranked Play loadout for the Vaznev-9K in MW2
- Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
- Underbarrel: Edge 47 Grip
- Stock: Oztrezat Stock
- Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip
With this loadout, all of your primary stats for the Vaznev are improved. The Bruen Pendulum muzzle reduces both horizontal and vertical recoil while the Edge 47 Grip adds accuracy and stability. The Oztrezat Stock and True-Tac Grip both improve sprint-to-fire speed and aim down sights time for all of your close-range engagement needs.
At the time of writing, I do not recommend you run a barrel on the Vaznev-9K unless you truly feel you can live with a slight reduction in mobility. The one barrel you can run is the KAS-1 381mm, which adds damage range at the cost of mobility. This might be a good start for newer players in Ranked Play, but as you rank up, I suggest running without the barrel.
