The best SP-X 80 loadout in Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play

The top sniper in Ranked Play

If you’re looking to be your team’s sniper in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play, then you will likely want to use the SP-X 80. While the MCPR 300 has seen some use in the Call of Duty League, a majority of pros will equip the SP-X 80 thanks to its superior mobility. You might get more hitmarkers than you’re used to, but as long you aim for the upper body, those shouldn’t be a problem. However, you will still want to throw on the best loadout for the SP-X 80 to ensure you don’t get out sniped in Ranked Play.

My recommended loadout for the SP-X 80 will rely on you primarily hitting your upper-body shots. I feel like the SP-X really shines when you give it the most mobility possible, and you can’t do that by equipping attachments that increase damage range and recoil. As such, my loadout will mainly focus on attachments that improve your aim down sights speed and sprint-to-fire speed.

Ranked Play loadout for the SP-X 80 in MW2

  • Barrel: 18.5″ Bryson LR Factory
  • Stock: PVZ-890 Tac Stock
  • Rear Grip: Schlager Match Grip
  • Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt

All of these attachments improve mobility in one way or the other. The 18.5″ Bryson LR Factory barrel gives you slightly more mobility without compromising much else in the process. The PVZ-890 Tac Stock and Schlager Match Grip both improve ADS and sprint-to-fire speeds while the FSS ST87 Bolt will increase your overall fire rate, allowing you to get shots off much faster.

The only other attachments that you can consider adding to this loadout are an optic of your choosing or the 5.56 High Velocity ammunition. The SP-X 80 already has a fantastic scope, though, and the High Velocity ammo will reduce your damage in exchange for increased bullet velocity. It’s your loadout, so do what you feel is best, but I think my loadout is the best-designed one for Ranked Play in MW2.
