The best RPD loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3

A powerful light machine gun in the right hands

When it comes to light machine guns in Call of Duty: Warzone, there aren’t many options better than the RPD. The Black Ops Cold War weapon is a force at medium-range and checks all of the boxes when it comes to picking a solid LMG. It features little recoil, great damage and decent mobility for being so clunky. Still, as with every gun in Warzone, the RPD needs a top loadout in order to compete with the meta weapons. Sure, players can have fun running around with the RPD but, if they want to truly master it, a certain loadout of attachments is needed.

The biggest draw with the RPD, and any other light machine gun, is its magazine size and little recoil. Even with the base version of the RPD, players can barely attempt to aim the weapon and it will remain relatively on target.

Still, the recommended loadout for the RPD looks to further boost its strengths. This means less recoil and, of course, adding more damage and mobility to truly round out the weapon.

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 20.3″ Match Grade
  • Optic: Visiontech 2x
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap

The biggest area in which the RPD needs work is mobility, which has been strengthened in this loadout with the Serpent Wrap. The rear grip attachment increases ADS time, which is vital for medium-range gunfights. Next, the GRU Suppressor and Spetsnaz Grip take care of any lingering recoil. The suppressor also keeps players off of the map when firing.

Finishing off the loadout is the 20.3″ Match Grade barrel and the Visiontech 2x scope. The 20.3″ Match Grade barrel improves damage range by a cool 100%. Players who want to use the RPD a little further back can opt for a bigger zoomed scope, like the SUSAT Multizoom. However, the Visitontech 2x allows players to truly maximize potential at medium-range.
