The current meta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play calls for the TAQ-56 and Vaznev-9K as the primary weapons. These are the guns that all Call of Duty League professionals use and they are the two best guns in their respective classes. However, over the past couple of weeks, players have begun to grow tired of the same exact weapons every single match. As such, some fans have started to experiment with off-meta guns. If you want to begin or continue experimenting, we recommend the MX9 and its strongest loadout for Ranked Play.
The MX9 has always been an underrated submachine gun in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. It’s always had decent stats, but was overshadowed by the bigger name guns in the class, like the Fennec 45 and VEL 46. Despite all of this, players can equip the MX9 in Ranked Play and see some decent success, especially if they stick to close range gunfights and don’t try to outgun a TAQ-56 at range.

Best MX9 loadout for MW2 Ranked Play
- Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
- Barrel: 508mm Rear Guard
- Comb: FTAC C11 Riser
- Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip
We have decided to craft this loadout with both close range and long range gunfights in mind. The first two attachments, the Bruen Pendulum and 508mm Rear Guard, increase recoil control and damage range while hindering mobility. However, the FTAC C11 Riser and the Bruen Q900 Grip both increase mobility, which makes the MX9 a threat at most ranges. Of course, players should still be mindful that a TAQ-56 can two-shot them at most ranges, so it’s best to stick to close quarters engagements with the MX9.
If players want to add a fifth attachment, we recommend only equipping a basic red dot sight. Otherwise, the MX9 loses too much in the way of either accuracy or mobility.
