The best M44 loadout in XDefiant

The M44 is a monster of a sniper

The M44 is one of the best snipers in XDefiant, and it’s certainly one that old-school FPS fans will immediately recognize. The M44 is a bolt-action sniper rifle that can one-shot kill enemies with an upper body shot, but you might see some hitmarkers with a shot to another part of an enemy’s body. Luckily, you can mitigate those hitmarkers and make the M44 a little more mobile with its best overall loadout in XDefiant.

Unlike other weapon classes in XDefiant, the sniper rifle class only has a few attachment slots that players can customize. Most snipers in the game only have access to five or attachment slots, which doesn’t give you many options. However, you can still max out your stats by using every single slot, if you so wish.

By default, the game gives you the Sniper Scope for the M44 in the optic category. We will be changing that, though, as we feel the Sniper Scope zooms in far too much for a quickscoping build.

  • Muzzle: Lightweight Suppressor
  • Barrel: Recon
  • Optic: Variable Zoom
  • Rear Grip: Quick Draw
  • Stock: Padded

This loadout is designed to give players every advantage for close-range gunfights with the M44. Most of the attachments help out with mobility in one way or another, giving players faster aim down sights and sprint-to-fire times. This basically means you can get your gun up faster to quickscope enemies. Although, we did leave in the Variable Zoom optic in case players wanted to try and kill an enemy at a longer range.

If you’re looking for a true long-range weapon in XDefiant, though, I recommend checking out my loadout guide on the ACR 6.8.
