The best M16 loadout in Warzone

A decently strong loadout for the burst-gun

Despite some buffs, the M16 has remained one of the weaker weapons in all of Call of Duty: Warzone. The classic burst-fire assault rifle has never broken into the meta in any capacity and the player base has rarely picked it over most other ARs. However, you might be inclined to give the M16 one last try in Warzone, and if you do, you want to ensure you’re using its best overall loadout.

The M16 has quite the history in Call of Duty — that alone makes it a popular gun for both new and returning players. Without the right attachments equipped, though, the M16 will be a pea-shooter that will lose to almost any other weapon in Warzone. If you make the risk to grab your M16 from a Loadout Drop, you need to be using the AR’s strongest set of attachments. Otherwise, you will be at a massive disadvantage no matter how you use the M16.

For my M16 loadout, I’ve opted to give the AR the maximum amount of accuracy and stability possible. While you could attempt to increase mobility, that won’t make too much of an overall difference with the M16.

  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip
  • Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity

First off, I’ve slightly increased the damage range, recoil control, and bullet velocity of the M16 by using the Harbinger D20 suppressor and FTAC Ripper 56. Next, recoil control is buffed again with the Sakin ZX Grip.

Finally, the Aim OP-V4 optic is a perfect scope for mid to long-range engagements, which is where you want to keep your gunfights with the M16.
