The best M13B loadout for Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play

The right loadout for an average AR

While many players in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play will naturally gravitate toward the TAQ-56 or the Kastov 762 in the assault rifle class, there are other options. There are only four weapons restricted in the AR class, the Kastov-74u, M4, Chimera, and the ISO Hemlock, with the latter two being DLC weapons. However, for whatever reason, players are allowed to use the M13B, another DLC weapon, as freely as they would like. Although the M13B is not as strong as the TAQ-56 or the Kastov rifles, it has a decent loadout for Ranked Play.

The M13B falls somewhere between a submachine gun and an assault rifle when looking at its stats. It’s not as lethal as something like the TAQ at range but it also can’t keep up with SMGs up close. As such, your best bet is to use the M13B at mid-range and play a hybrid role for your team. My loadout will help you with that role by increasing most of the M13B’s stats across the board.

Best M13B loadout for MW2 Ranked Play

  • Barrel: 14″ Bruen Echelon
  • Stock: Ravage-8
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
  • Rear Grip: Bruen Flash Grip
  • Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity

My first attachment is the Cronen Mini Pro optic, which may or may not be your cup of tea. In my opinion, the M13B benefits greatly from using an optic over simply using the iron sights. You can also tune the optic to be a little more mobile. However, if you wish, you can sub out the optic for the FSS Sharkfin 90 underbarrel to add a little more stability to the loadout.

The rest of the attachments are primarily focused on mobility and recoil control. The 14″ Bruen Echelon barrel helps to reduce recoil and improve overall stability, but at the cost of mobility. The Ravage-8 and Bruen Flash Grip increase the rifle’s aim down sights time and sprint-to-fire speed, which makes the M13B a much more balanced gun. Finally, the 5.56 High Velocity ammo boosts bullet velocity and recoil control, if you tune if that way.

The M13B won’t be replacing the TAQ-56 anytime soon, but if players want to use it in MW2 Ranked Play, they now have the most optimal loadout for it.
