Since Ranked Play was released in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players have primarily stuck to two different weapons, the TAQ-56 and the Vaznev-9K. These weapons are the main choices for the pros in the Call of Duty League, so it makes sense a majority of players want to mimic the best players in the world.
However, during the early days of Ranked Play, a new weapon started to make the rounds in various lobbies, mainly after the ISO Hemlock was banned. That weapon was the Kastov 762, which was actually quite lethal at mid-long range and could make your TAQ-56 players’ lives very difficult. So, with this is mind, you might be wondering why you don’t see the Kastov 762 get used more in Ranked today. Well, thanks to an outcry from the community, the Kastov 762 was actually banned in the CDL ruleset.
As a result, you can no longer use the Kastov 762 in Ranked Play, but I thought I would still offer a competitive loadout for it in case you wanted to use it in a private match.
Best Kastov 762 loadout for Ranked Play in MW2
- Muzzle: RF Crown 50
- Optic: Slimline Pro
- Underbarrel:Â FTAC Ripper 56
- Rear Grip:Â Demo-X2 Grip
- Stock:Â Markeev R7 Stock
I recommend that players use an optic with the Kastov 762, as its iron sights aren’t the greatest for long range gunfights, which is where the rifle shines. You can use whatever red dot sight you would like, but I have gone for the tried and true Slimline Pro. As for the other attachments, IÂ have the RF Crown 50 for superior horizontal and vertical recoil control in addition to the FTAC Ripper 56.
Finally, the Demo-X2 Grip and Markeev R7 Stock give the Kastov 762 some additional mobility by boosting aim down sights time and sprint-to-fire speed. While you can’t use this Kastov 762 loadout in Ranked Play, you can still dominate your friends or others with it in a private match or even a public playlist.
