Since Ranked Play was released in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players have primarily stuck to two different weapons, the TAQ-56 and the Vaznev-9K. These weapons are the main choices for the pros in the Call of Duty League, so it makes sense a majority of players want to mimic the best players in the world. While the ISO Hemlock also saw some use before its ban, the TAQ-56 and Vaznev-9K currently dominate Ranked Play. However, in recent weeks, another weapon has begun to creep up in the killfeed of Ranked, and that’s the Kastov 762 assault rifle.
The Kastov 762 has never been a pick for the professionals in the CDL. It’s seen as a weaker TAQ-56, as it has a slower fire rate and bouncier recoil. Although, this hasn’t stopped players who might not be fans of the TAQ from using it in Ranked. If you are one such player, or simply want to try out the Kastov 762 because you saw someone dominate with it in Ranked, keep reading below to see the best loadout for it.
Best Kastov 762 loadout for Ranked Play in MW2
- Muzzle: RF Crown 50
- Optic: Slimline Pro
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Rear Grip: Demo-X2 Grip
- Stock: Markeev R7 Stock
We recommend that players use an optic with the Kastov 762, as this will make its bouncy recoil seem less random. We have chosen the Slimline Pro, but players can choose whatever red dot sight works best for them. For the other attachments, we have the RF Crown 50 for superior horizontal and vertical recoil control. The FTAC Ripper 56 also helps out with that stat as well.
Finally, the Demo-X2 Grip and Markeev R7 Stock give the Kastov 762 some additional mobility by boosting aim down sights time and sprint-to-fire speed. Altogether, this Kastov 762 loadout can do some real damage in Ranked Play, and it shouldn’t be slept on.
