The sniper rifle category in COD Mobile is one of the most underused weapon classes in all of multiplayer. While it has some popular guns, players aren’t too inclined to whip out a sniper when other players are running around with ARs or SMGs. This might change when players learn about the gunsmith loadout for one of the more popular snipers, the Locus.
The Locus hails from Black Ops 3 and is a classic bolt-action sniper rifle. However, it is a DLC weapon, so players will need to complete a sniper rifle challenge in order to unlock it. Players can visit the sniper rifle category to see what the exact challenge is. When they unlock it, they’ll have a dominant gunsmith loadout ready to go.
Best Locus loadout in COD Mobile
One of the better qualities of the Locus is its propensity for quickscoping. Players will have insane mobility when they throw on the Locus, allowing them to bring up the scope much faster compared to other snipers. This specific quality is what my recommended loadout for the Locus is centered around. There are also some other stats increased, giving you a solid mixture of attachments.

There are a whopping four total attachments on this Locus loadout that boost mobility. The YKM Lightweight Short, OWC Skeleton Stock, OWC Laser – Tactical, and Stippled Grip Tape all improve ADS time, sprint-to-fire delay, or movement speed in some way. This is a huge help to players who want to move around the map with the Locus and quickscope enemies along the way.
Finally, the OWC Stopping Power Reload ammunition improves damage range, damage and magazine capacity. It decreases reload speed, recoil and ADS speed but the positives outweigh the negatives with this Locus loadout in COD Mobile.
