The best FR Avancer loadout in MW2

The FR Advancer is the newest assault rifle in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It arrived with the Season 5 update and is available to unlock as a free tier on the Battle Pass. Once players manage to unlock it, they might notice something familiar about the gun, especially if they played Black Ops Cold War. For those who don’t know, the FR Advancer is basically a carbon copy of the FFAR-1 from Cold War. If you want to start using the FR Advancer right away in MW2 multiplayer, then you will need to check out my best loadout for it.

Similar to the FFAR, the FR Advancer has a high fire rate, moderate damage, great handling, and some decent recoil. All of this is to say that the FR Advancer is best used in either close or medium range, but with the right attachments, it can also serve you well at longer ranges. In any case, my loadout for the FR Advancer utilizes more long-range attachments so you can use it as a traditional assault rifle in multiplayer.

Best FR Avancer loadout in MW2

• Muzzle: XTEN Havoc 90
• Barrel: 435mm FR435
• Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
• Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
• Magazine: 45 Round Mag

The loadout begins with the XTEN Havoc 90 muzzle and the FTAC Ripper 56, both of which decrease the FR Advancer’s recoil dramatically. Next, there is the 435mm FR435 barrel, which also stabilizes your weapon and makes it a virtual laser beam. Of course, all of those attachments will reduce your mobility, so you want to ensure that you are using the FR Advancer at mid-long range.

Finally, there is the 45 Round Mag, which you will absolutely need unless you like reloading after shooting at a single enemy, and the Cronen Mini Pro optic, which is great for mid-range fights. This FR Advancer loadout should serve you well at close and mid-range while also giving you a chance at longer ranges against some of the more meta rifles in MW2.

As a final note, you can use the FR Advancer in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
