The WA2000 sniper rifle is back in Call of Duty, as the Season 5 update in Warzone and MW2 has introduced the Carrack .300. The new sniper looks exactly like it originally did way back in Black Ops. It’s a semi-automatic, fast-firing weapon that is primary a mid-long range sniper. However, with the right loadout, the Carrack .300 can be whatever you want it to be in MW2.
Of course, the recommended attachments for the Carrack will be tailored toward long range engagements, as that’s where it shines brightest. Players who are looking for a faster version of the sniper can simply throw on attachments that only increase aim down sights speed and sprint-to-fire time. My loadout will lean towards more close-range attachments, as I feel the Carrack can excel as a quickscoping option.
To see the best loadout for the Carrack .300 in multiplayer, check out the guide below.
Best Carrack .300 loadout in MW2
- Laser:Â VLK LZr 7mW
- Barrel: 30″ Flintline
- Stock: Lex V14 Stock
- Ammunition: .300 High Velocity
- Rear Grip:Â Engage-20 Grip
The majority of the attachments on the loadout are designed to improve mobility. I have the VLK LZR 7mW laser and Lex V14 Stock to kick things off, both of which increase aim down sights time and sprint-to-fire speed. The Engage-20 Grip finishes the mobility buffs, making the Carrack .300 a formidable choice in close-range encounters.

The loadout continues with the 30″ Flintline barrel, which reduces overall recoil. While this might not seem important, you have to remember the Carrack is a semi-automatic sniper, so you’ll be firing in quick succession and need to have good control over your gun after each shot. Finally, I have the .300 High Velocity ammunition equipped to ensure your shots reach their target as quickly as possible.
The Carrack .300 won’t win any awards as the best sniper in MW2, but it can be an enjoyable option for any quickscopers out there.
As a final note, you can use the Carrack .300 in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
