TFT's sixth expansion will be releasing in early November

At the end of the TFT Reckoning World Championship broadcast, Riot Games officially revealed the name of the next TFT expansion. Teamfight Tactics: Gizmos and Gadgets will be TFT’s sixth expansion. New mechanic

TFT: Gizmos and Gadgets will bring an entirely new cast of champions along with a brand new mechanic. The mechanic for TFT’s sixth expansion was revealed last month. Hextech Augments will be replacing the Radiant Items that have been seen throughout TFT: Reckoning. These augments grant players special abilities throughout the game. Some of them are buffs to units like additional range or more stats. Some of them affect the player too, like having the ability to know who you are playing against in every round.

New mode

Along with the new mechanic, TFT: Gizmos and Gadgets will feature a brand new game mode. After the success of the first-ever TFT: labs game mode, hyperoll, the development team will be bringing a new experience to TFT: Gizmos and Gadgets. The long-requested duos game mode will be making its debut in TFT.

This mode will let players team up with a friend in a 2v2v2v2 experience. Both players on each team will share a combined health bar but will have a separate board and items. This mode also has the potential to be a fantastic competitive mode and will feature a separate ranked ladder just like hyperoll. Riot is aware of its competitive viability as they have also announced there will be a big tournament at the end of the first half of TFT Set 6, just for this duos mode.

New cosmetics

TFT: Gizmos and Gadgets will also debut a new type of player avatar called Chibi Champions. These player avatars will not be purchasable from eggs like little legends but they will be up for grabs from the shop in their entirety. These new player avatars are self-explanatory. They will be Chibi versions of various League of Legends champions. The avatars also feature their own unique taunts, dances and boom effects.

More details about TFT: Gizmos and Gadgets will be revealed soon.
