Draven is back in Teamfight Tactics set 6.5. In TFT: Neon Nights, Draven is a four-cost Debonair Challenger and has his old ability from previous iterations making him one of the premier AD carry champions in the entire game. Through a mix of analysis by Upcomer’s TFT expert and data from API sites like Metatft.com, Upcomer has brought players a Draven TFT guide that goes over what the best Draven items, comps and positioning looks like.
Item Build
Because Draven is best when he is the VIP from the Debonair trait, he has maximum range and built-in armor shred. With that in mind, players will want to maximize damage while still having some sort of attack speed to compliment Draven’s Challenger trait.
Positioning
Draven is best when he can sit safely in the back row of a comp. Especially thanks to the VIP bonus, Draven has infinite range meaning that he will not ever move to catch or throw his axes. As such, Draven is optimal when he is in a corner. But that relies on opposing players not having a champion like Blitzcrank to hook him away. Players should be aware of this and either put Draven one hex to the left or right and have a bait champion in the corner if Blitzcrank is a threat.
Best Comps
Draven thrives when he is the main carry in either a Debonair-focused comp or a Challenger-focused comp. One of the best comps that mix both is this “Draven + good champions” one. This comp hits the three Debonair intervals to allow VIP Draven to come online. It also throws in a Kai’Sa to get the Challenger trait online and get max value out of Rageblade. TO top it off it has a very strong frontline consisting of the two best Bodyguards and two of the best Bruisers in the game. And if that wasn’t enough, Silco is added to either prolong fights or end them when needed.
