This is in addition to showing support for the gaming community through acts of kindness and staying positive.

Andrey Yanyuk, the CEO of Tempo Storm, said the entire organization is taking COVID-19 very seriously: “That’s why we’re taking part in this pledge to follow the basic guidelines provided by experts worldwide, especially around social distancing.”

Yanyuk added that now, more than ever, the gaming community as a whole should step up and lead by example. He said he hopes everyone will join Tempo Storm in stepping up and fighting for the health and safety of others.

Various Tempo Storm esports players will also be making the #GamersvsCOVID19 pledge. These individuals include Jeffrey “Axe” Williamson, Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios, and Mychal “Trihex“ Jefferson.

Tempo Storm players aren’t the only ones in support of the pledge. A #GamersvsCOVID19 tweet featured prominent esports community members such as Juan “Hungrybox” DeBiedma and Brian Kibler who are in support of the cause.

The #GamersvsCOVID19 is not only for video game and esports players. The official website has a page where businesses are encouraged to make a difference as well. Companies are encouraged to either postpone or cancel live events until health experts announce that it’s safe.

This is in addition to other initiatives to fight against the coronavirus such as canceling nonessential travel for employees, moving to online meetings, and providing workers with a safe environment to work in if they cannot work from home.

A page of resources is also provided by the website to help visitors get a better understanding of the situation and why it’s important to work together during this challenging time. To take the pledge, visit gamersvscovid19.com.
