Sutherland Chemical Plant Guide in Once Human

The Sutherland Chemical Lab is quite a fun exploration, although it’s not all that difficult. You won’t run into anything powerful, but do bring some spare ammo as there are a lot of enemies around. The two most challenging aspects are finding the Elite Enemy and getting to the Mystical Chest, so let’s knock out those out quick.

Where is the Elite Enemy at Sutherland Chemical Plant?

You’ll find the elite enemy — a creature with an umbrella as a head (haha!) — on top of a walkway with yellow railings, near the western entrance to the plant. I’m not really sure if this enemy is dangerous, since a few shots from a distance with a sniper rifle was enough to down it.

It didn’t even have time to launch a single attack. When you’ve defeated it, make sure to go to the platform it’s on to find a gear crate. There’s another secret here, as well. Hit Q to discover a living mimic chest here.

Where is the Mystical Crate at Sutherland Chemical Plant?

The building you’ll want to explore is the big blue warehouse near the center. You’ll notice it on the mini map as one of the largest structures in the area, as shown in the above screenshot.

Enter the building and head up the stairs to your left. Go all the way to the top, where you’ll find a weapons crate and a storage crate. Once down, head back down and towards the back of the building, where you’ll find a blue elevator.

Interact with the control panel to call the elevator, and then again to go up. From here, follow the walkway to the end and climb down the ladder. And there it is, the Mystical Crate.

After this, you can simply jump over the fence using the barrels and boxes behind the Mystical Crate, and you’re pretty much done with the Sutherland Chemical Plant. Activate the Rift Anchor, and start planning your approach to the next spot with our Gaia Monolith Danger Zone guide.
