If you have attempted to try and brew your own Aurora in Starfield, then you have almost certainly required some Chambass Oil at some point or another. This common crafting item is a vital ingredient in the recipe for Aurora, and it can be difficult to track down in the Settled Systems.

You only need a single vial of Chambass Oil to make a single batch of Aurora, but that is still enough to make players wonder how to get the ingredient. I know I wandered around different systems trying to get my hands on it, so I’m other players have faced a similar dilemma. Luckily, I found a reliable source of Chambass Oil in Starfield, and I’m here to pass that knowledge on to you.

Finding Chambass Oil in Starfield

Unlike other resources in Starfield, such as minerals, you are not able to easily acquire Chambass Oil yourself. Instead, you will have to rely on vendors to keep your Aurora production going.

From what I have experienced, most general traders in major cities will stock some Chambass Oil in the “Resources” tab of their inventory. However, specialized vendors will usually not carry the crafting item, so you want to ensure you’re going to general traders. Here are some of the most reliable vendors I have been able to purchase from Chambass Oil from:

  • Shepherd’s General Store (Akila City)
  • Newill’s Goods (Neon)
  • Jemison Mercantile (New Atlantis)
  • Zuri’s General Goods (The Key)
  • UC Distribution (New Atlantis)
  • Any Trade Authority store

By visiting any of these vendors, you should be able to find a supply of roughly 5-10 Chambass Oil in their inventories. The crafting item will cost you a decent amount of credits, though, so make sure you’re ready to open your wallet. With your Chambass Oil, you can make all the Aurora that you want in Starfield.
