Sources: Heretics VALORANT sign jakexd and PoPiFresH to replace TENZKI and al0rante

The shift comes four weeks after the two players joined the roster

Team Heretics will replace Felix “al0rante” Brandl and Jesper “TENZKI” Plougmann Mikalski with Mario “PoPiFresH” Gonzalez and Alhan “Jakexd” Meguenni on their VALORANT roster, multiple sources told Upcomer on Wednesday.

A report from Dot Esports, confirmed by sources close to Upcomer, broke the news that TENZKI had been benched al0rante and had been released from Heretics after the pair joined a month earlier. PoPiFresH is a former Overwatch player who previously played VALORANT for Case Esports while Jakexd played for genetics, NEXUS and Budget Aimers.

Team Heretics previously failed to qualify for the 2022 VALORANT Champions Tour after losing to EXCEL in the round of 64 during the VCT Europe Stage 1 Challengers open qualifier. Their next showing, PoPiFresH and Jakexd’s first with the team, will be in VALORANT Regional League Spain: Rising, which begins on Feb. 15.

According to a separate report, al0rante will join MOUZ, which will compete in the German VRL DACH.

Following these changes, Team Heretics roster would be as follows:

– Alhan “Jakexd” Meguenni
– Jose Antonio “Bromas” Ramos Gonzalez
-Christian “lowel” Garcia Antoran
-Daniel “mertz” Mertz
