The Sova player spent a short time trialing with the team and recently competed with Knights during the Nerd Street Gamers Winter Championship: Open 6, which concluded last month.

Knights went on to finish in the grand final of the tournament but lost to Akrew in the final round. Genghsta completed the match with an average combat score of 163, just above Ashton “Frosty” Rakoske’s score of 150.

Genghsta had several options during the course of the offseason, but he had the chance to continue practicing with FaZe Clan, who are yet to complete their roster following their extensive rebuild

FaZe Clan are one of the many teams undergoing significant roster changes during the North American offseason. The team has to sign four more players to complete their roster for the next season of the VALORANT Champions Tour next year.

Knights have been one of the most active teams during the offseason as they have competed in several tournaments to prepare for the VCT next year. Knights recently finished second during the VALORANT Elite Showdown, which concluded on Nov. 15. However, Knights lost to the Pioneers in the grand final 2-1.

Genghsta had played under Immortals since May 2020, where he has remained since. Immortals has seen little success this year and failed to qualify for an international event throughout 2021.

Knights currently fields the following roster:

  • Genghsta
  • Joseph “ban” Seungmin Oh
  • Damion “XXiF” Cook
  • Ashton “Frosty” Rakoske
  • Logan “skuba” Jenkins
  • Drake “Exalt” Branly (inactive)
