Multiple players could leave FaZe

Three players on FaZe Clan’s VALORANT roster are open to joining new teams following the team’s joint-last place finish at the VCT North America Last Chance Qualifier, multiple sources told Upcomer on Friday.

Corey Nigra is one of the most in-demand players following the conclusion of the tournament while Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty and Zachary “ZachaREEE” Lombardo will likely receive offers from other teams during the offseason.

The organization has reached out to at least one player so far, according to one source.

This does not mean that each player will join a new team, however, since they are under contract with FaZe Clan at the time of publication.

The one player that would be left on the roster if all players left, however, would be Andrej “BABYBAY” Francisty.

FaZe Clan were seen as one of the best teams in North America, but were unable to reach the highest level of competition. Prior to the Last Chance Qualifier FaZe was labeled as the underdog team for the event.

During the LCQ, however, FaZe Clan lost to Rise in a tense series 2-1, once the event was moved online. This loss sent the North American roster to the lower bracket where they faced off against Version1 to stay alive. Stellar performances from both Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro and Maxim “wippie” Shepelev led Version1 to a 2-0 victory over FaZe, however.

This ended FaZe Clan’s final chance for international competition this season. They also failed to qualify for both international Masters events held earlier this year. The LCQ, which eventually crowned Cloud9 Blue as the victors, was the final chance for regional teams to get a spot at Champions at the end of the year.

Champions, the biggest and most anticipated VALORANT event to date, is set to begin on Dec. 1 and conclude on Dec. 12, with Cloud9 Blue representing North America alongside Envy and Sentinels.
