British esports organization Excel Esports is set to sign four new players to complete their VALORANT roster, multiple sources told Upcomer on Wednesday.
Excel have recently practiced with in-game leader Oscar “ozzy” Scott at the helm, as first reported by Dexerto, while his former teammate from ‘NoPoaching,’ Dragan “elllement” Milanović, will also likely join the roster. Excel’s VALORANT team will likely be completed with Team Heretics player Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski and former Ninjas in Pyjamas player Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk.
The four players will join Muhammad “Moe40” Hariff, who is the only remaining member of Excel’s roster to continue with the team next year.
Excel will compete in the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour in the EMEA region, which will begin later in January. Almost all teams across each region are on a break for the festive season and will return to practice at the start of the new year.
In-game leader Ozzy is most known for his time under G2 Esports where he played with the team as a stand-in earlier this year. He competed with G2 in the VCT Stage 2 Challengers 2 event but was unable to secure a victory. The eventual winners of the tournament, Fnatic, took down G2 in the first round of the tournament 2-0.
PaTiTek, who also had an extensive and impressive stint under G2, has since been a part of Heretics. But he was moved to the inactive roster earlier this year following the team’s failure to qualify for the third LVP Rising Series tournament. Heretics were defeated in the round of 16 by UCAM Esports Club.
Chiwawa was one of the pivotal members of the Ninjas in Pyjamas roster that had a relatively successful run toward the start of the year, while elllement, most known for his time on OG, has been under the free agent roster ‘NoPoaching’ since May.
If each player joins Excel the organization will field the following VALORANT roster:
- Ozzy
- Chiwawa
- PaTiTek
- Moe40
- Elllement
- Jimmy “Jumpy” Berndtsson
