SMITE reveals Atlas for Titan of the Cosmos update

A Twitch livestream revealed Atlas' passive and abilities

Atlas will enter the SMITE battlefield in the upcoming Titan of the Cosmos update. During a livestream on Tuesday, the details for Atlas were revealed as well.

Passive: The Astrolabe

The Titan of the Cosmos accumulates energy by dealing or taking damage from gods and minions. Atlas can store up to 30 energy. When he obtains 20 energy, his next basic attack deals more damage, has more swing time and gets bonus AoE damage. While other gods feel the fury of crowd control, minions become stunned.

Ability: Unburden

Unburden is Atlas’ first ability. When used, the Titan of the Cosmos throws his Astrolabe at a target location to deal damage and slow enemies down. Atlas’ basic attacks also create an explosion at the target area for damage. The Astrolabe returns to him after a few seconds or when Atlas reuses Unburden. The god’s next ability, Gravity Pull, changes depending on whether or not his Astrolabe is deployed.

Ability: Gravity Pull

Next, Gravity Pull lives up to its namesake by pulling enemies toward the god’s Astrolabe. If Atlas is holding his Astrolabe, then the enemies get pulled in front of him before getting launched in the direction that the Titan of the Cosmos is facing. If Atlas has Astrolabe deployed, then pulled foes are held at the Astrolabe’s location before getting launched at him.

Ability: Kinetic Charge

Kinetic Charge is his next ability. When used, Atlas charges forward and allied gods who are near him get their burdens removed and receive increased movement speed. If Atlas charges into an opponent, he releases accumulated burdens at them for a slowing effect.

Ultimate: Gamma-Ray Burst

The Titan of the Cosmos’ ultimate is Gamma-Ray Burst. The foes affected by it can receive stacks of radiation alongside lowered protections and power. Using Gamma-Ray Burst again makes the power travel across the SMITE battlefield. Enemies who get hit by this take more damage and gain focused radiation.

According to SMITE’s official Twitter, the 8.12 Titan of the Cosmos update will arrive on Dec. 14.
