Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player Santiago “Chag” Pérez Checchi announced Thursday that he is launching his own eponymously named clothing brand, Chag, in collaboration with his family.

Chag announced that he will debut his new clothing brand in person at Smash Factor 9, a Smash major taking place this weekend in Puebla, Mexico. However, he also announced his intention to open up an online shop in the future. Once this happens, Chag said he plans to make his clothes available for purchase to people all around the world.

While branded apparel is nothing new for the esports world, Chag has added a unique twist. Although he is searching for a new organization to represent, Chag is currently a free agent; as a result, the new apparel is linked solely to Chag’s personal brand, rather than that of a larger organization.

More about the Chag clothing brand

Since the Chag clothing brand is still in its infancy, it currently only includes two t-shirt designs. The white shirt features a red rose and an endearing black-and-white character. Meanwhile, the black shirt depicts a more menacing character, along with a pair of skulls.

In addition, both shirts include the word “Chag” written in the Japanese katakana script. Chag said he plans to sell his clothes for $450 MXN, or about $22 USD. However, he has not announced whether he intends to expand beyond t-shirts in the future.

Outside of his new clothing brand venture, Chag is best known as one of the best Super Smash Bros. players in Mexico. This year alone, the Palutena main has beaten players like Leonardo “MkLeo” López Pérez, Gavin “Tweek” Dempsey, Michael “Riddles” Kim and Enrique “Maister” Hernández Solís. Chag has also placed in the top eight of multiple majors throughout the world.
